I seek to work with clients who may be experiencing emotional challenges, life transitions, decreased motivation to face uncertainties. I aim to help, and work toward becoming a better self, build a safe therapeutic relationship where the ability to understand and manage uncomfortable emotions, feelings and behaviors strengthens, and allow for personal growth. I strongly believe, we can all benefit from therapy and having a safe place where we feel unjudged, and able to disclose what prevents us for achieving our goals.
During our first session together, we will conduct brief introductions, allow for questions regarding therapy, past experiences, if any, with services. We will discuss specific reasons you sought therapy, at this time, the challenges you are facing, and identify simple, and attainable initial goals. This will help me create a treatment plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
My clinical experience for the past ten years in different areas including, community psychotherapy with children and adults, crisis stabilization, child welfare and corrections health services have allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of how life challenges can affect you emotionally and psychologically. This has made me more compassionate , understanding and able to meet you where you are at in response to your stressors to help you move forward in a more positive way.
I am passionate about my profession and love to work with young, and older adults who are eager to do better, want to face the day-to-day challenges with a more positive and healthier attitude, but struggle to find the adequate coping skills, consistency in changing the bad habits, thoughts, feelings and behaviors that interfere with making this their reality and feel more accomplished.
Help clients challenge negative , unhelpful thoughts to increase self-awareness and improve quality of life.
