Hello, and congratulations on taking the first step into your therapeutic journey! I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in California. I received my Masters from Azusa Pacific University and my Bachelor's degree from CSU Channel Islands. I have over 14 years of experience working with various populations and settings. I believe that everyone has experienced something that shapes who they are today, and I'm passionate about using my own experiences to support others in achieving their goals and finding resilience. Whether you're a child, teen, or adult, I'm here to provide a safe space for you to explore your feelings, overcome obstacles, and move forward with confidence.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My approach to counseling is rooted in empathy, respect, and collaboration. I strive to create a therapeutic environment where you feel heard, valued, and supported. Together, we'll work to identify your strengths, explore your concerns, and develop practical strategies to help you reach your goals and enhance your overall well-being.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I value the use of strengths not only as a provider but in general as a human being. My strengths include active listening, empathy, compassion, and the ability to build strong rapport with clients. Additionally, I work to tailor interventions to meet the unique needs of each client. My commitment to ongoing learning and professional development ensures I stay updated on the latest research and best practices in the field. Furthermore, I exhibit resilience, patience, and a genuine desire to help others, which enables me to navigate complex therapeutic dynamics and support clients through their healing journey. Overall, my main goal is to create a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their challenges, develop insights, and achieve meaningful growth and change.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

I've spent the majority of my clinical experience with trauma-based clients. Within various settings; group homes, emotional behavioral schools, telehealth work, etc. As a clinician, I implemented Trauma-Informed Care to create a safe and supportive environment for clients who have experienced trauma. This approach involved understanding the prevalence and impact of trauma, recognizing trauma symptoms, and prioritizing client empowerment and autonomy. By integrating trauma-sensitive practices into therapy, such as validating experiences, promoting choice, and fostering a sense of safety, I aimed to facilitate healing and promote resilience in my clients. This approach emphasized collaboration, trust-building, and a strengths-based perspective to help individuals navigate their healing journey with dignity and respect.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have utilized CBT as a way to work with various clients throughout my career. Equipping the client with practical strategies to cope with anxiety, depression, or other issues they may be facing. Over time, using CBT improved my clients in identifying their own coping skills, and overall well-being, making CBT an integral part of their therapeutic journey.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

As a clinician, I frequently employ Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to help clients identify their strengths and resources, set achievable goals, and work towards solutions rather than dwelling on problems. By focusing on my client's existing abilities and successes, SFT facilitated rapid progress and empowered clients to take active roles in their own growth and recovery. This approach allowed for efficient and effective therapy sessions, leading to positive outcomes and sustainable changes for my clients.

Strength-Based

As a clinician, I employed Strength-Based Therapy to highlight and leverage clients' inherent strengths, abilities, and resources in the therapeutic process. This approach involved shifting the focus from pathology to resilience, empowering clients to recognize their strengths and utilize them to overcome challenges. By emphasizing clients' capabilities and successes, I aimed to foster a sense of empowerment, self-efficacy, and hope, leading to positive outcomes and sustainable change. Through collaborative exploration and affirmation of strengths, Strength-Based Therapy facilitated a client-centered approach that honored individuals' unique experiences and strengths.
