PMHNP, 4 years of experience
I’m a psychiatric nurse practitioner who works with people managing ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and other mental health concerns. I focus on making sessions comfortable and supportive, while giving you practical tools you can use in daily life. My goal is to partner with you so you feel heard, understood, and empowered on your path to better mental health.
In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and talking about what brought you here. I’ll ask about your history, current concerns, and goals so we can create a plan that makes sense for you. I may also introduce assessment tools to better understand your symptoms. This session is a chance for you to share openly, ask questions, and get a feel for how we can work together. My goal is for you to leave the first visit feeling heard, supported, and clear about the next steps in your care.
My greatest strengths are creating a safe, judgment-free space and tailoring care to each client’s unique needs. I combine evidence-based treatment with practical strategies, so you not only understand your challenges but also have tools you can use in daily life. I am thorough with assessments, attentive to detail, and committed to helping clients see real progress in focus, mood, and overall well-being.
I am best positioned to serve individuals who are motivated to take an active role in their mental health journey. My ideal clients may be navigating challenges such as difficulty focusing, managing anxiety or depression, mood changes, or adjusting to life transitions. They may also be students or professionals seeking strategies to improve attention, organization, and balance in their daily lives. I especially enjoy working with clients who are open to learning new skills, completing assessments or tools that help us track progress, and engaging in honest conversations about what is and isn’t working. If you are ready to commit to consistent care and take steps toward lasting growth, I look forward to partnering with you.
Supportive therapy is about having a safe space where you feel heard and understood. In our sessions, I’ll listen without judgment, help you make sense of what you’re going through, and work with you on practical ways to cope. My goal is for you to leave each visit feeling encouraged and with simple tools you can use right away in daily life.
Mindfulness-based therapy is about learning how to slow down, notice your thoughts and feelings, and stay present in the moment. In our sessions, I may guide you through simple breathing or grounding exercises to help reduce stress, anxiety, or racing thoughts. These tools can make it easier to focus, manage emotions, and feel more balanced in daily life.
Motivational interviewing is about helping you find your own reasons and motivation for making changes in your life. In our sessions, I’ll listen closely, ask open questions, and reflect back what I hear so you can explore what feels most important to you. This approach is especially helpful if you feel stuck or unsure about your next steps, and it’s designed to empower you to make changes at your own pace.
