It is a pleasure to meet with you. I am Rebecca Gay Baldwin, LPC, CPCS, and completed my master's degree in Professional Counseling with Argosy University in 2004 and licensed as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), since 2008, and provide supervision as a CPCS (Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor) with individuals seeking full licensure in Georgia. My experience in the field includes seven years of Homestead therapy in the North Georgia Mountains, working with children and families. Working with individuals seeking a life of recovery from alcohol or drug abuse began in 2004, when I began case management, and under supervision provided individual and group counseling with this population. This experience allowed me to seek opportunities to build on a growing knowledge in the field, which led to several opportunities of becoming a Clinical Evaluator and Treatment Provider with the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities. In 2009, I completed certification as an Anger Management Specialist (AMS) and also became certified with Prime for Life, allowing me to work with offenders of DUI (Driving Under the Influence) and those convicted of drug possession in the state of Georgia. I presently serve a robust population of college students from ages 18 and over. I particularly enjoy working with nontraditional students and students who are seeking a higher education and are juggling family-life, school, and employment. My passion to help others goes beyond my daily experiences with a college population. We are all learners and helpers who often need guidance with an empathic and caring individual, who provides professional work in a compassionate and meaningful manner.
