Do you feel overwhelmed, depressed, anxious or have limitations in your ability to function presently? With 33 years of clinical experience, I have a significant number of skills and methods to help. Not everyone benefits fully from only one or even two therapy methods. I tailor my skills and interventions to each person depending on their needs, problems and comfort. Different therapy methods are researched as to the best outcomes based on what symptoms you are struggling with. I follow the research and start with the approaches that are well-studied and show the best results. If you are not feeling better after a few sessions, we discuss this openly and I introduce you to a different approach. I look at therapy as a combined effort with both of us working together to meet your personal goals. While I guide you, your feedback is regularly requested so you are benefiting. You will find that I am very honest, direct, non-judgmental, compassionate and genuine in my desire to help my clients.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I will gather enough history and information from you in the first session to allow me to discuss the treatment approach that I would start with first. After that first session, we will work together to address your needs and personal goals. I regularly receive feedback from clients about how hopeful and encouraged they feel from the initial contact and throughout the therapy process.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I am trained and skilled in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Hypnosis, Behavior Therapy, Rational-Emotional Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy and Psychological Testing.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have experience with all age groups but am presently taking clients from ages 13 to 90. When working with an adult client with a history of childhood neglect or trauma, I understand how it affected them at the age(s) of the abuse because of my experience in child development. I have years of experience helping clients with PTSD, mood disorders, relationship difficulties, communication struggles, fears, avoidance behaviors and problems with confidence and motivation.
