As we move through life, we all face difficult experiences, some of which last with us long after they have already happened. You are not alone. Having a space to understand how our past experiences may be impacting who you are today and who you want to become can be an immensely healing and rewarding experience. When working with me, we will work in a collaborative environment to help you understand and grow as a person in a way that is true to who you are.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Clients can expect when we first meet that we will explore their presenting problem (or reason for why you are reaching out to me in the first place), background information about what has led to the presenting problem, general questions about your own background from the context of past relationships, whether they be your family, friends, romantic partners, co-workers, whoever feels relevant to you and your life. Finally, I will also discuss general rules related to confidentiality, informed consent for treatment in therapy, and how the process will work with Grow Therapy specifically.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I try to be supportive and empathic with every client I work with, trying to maintain a safe, caring space for each person to express what may be happening in their lives. I strive to be thoughtful with each client I work with and try to make therapy as individualized as possible.
