I am a Board-Certified mental health nurse practitioner who is adept at providing care that is focused on the patient’s needs. I specialize in assessing, diagnosing, and treating adults, and geriatric clients with various mental health conditions. These conditions include but are not limited to, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and schizoaffective disorders. As a devoted mental health nurse practitioner, I always ensure that I deliver expert, personalized care to each client in a nurturing environment; an environment where trust, mutual respect, and transparency are also key. I also monitor patients closely as they progress through the treatment phase and appropriately adjust their care plan, if needed. Before my role as a mental health nurse practitioner, I regularly cared for psychiatric patients at various hospitals throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I obtained my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Baylor University.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients can expect to leave my sessions with more clarity and insights into their conditions and their treatment plans. Clients can also expect to leave each session feeling valued and reassured that they have received sound clinical advice based on proven best practices in psychiatric evaluation and treatments. Finally, clients should leave each session with a clear understanding that I am a trusted advisor that they can rely on throughout their psychiatric care.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

The treatment methods include psychotherapy, medication management, and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths are my communication skills and my compassion as a mental health practitioner. As an effective communicator, I am often able to connect with patients on a much deeper level by always listening attentively to them. My excellent communication skills also allow me to build rapport with the patients that keep them meaningfully engaged in their care. Similarly, as a compassionate caregiver, I purposely create a safe space for all my patients to express themselves freely, without the fear of judgment or stigma, which are two common struggles that mental health patients are often forced to endure, in addition to their medical problems. I feel these personal strengths have led to many positive patient outcomes throughout my practice.
