I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, with 5 years of experience working with, and helping children, adolescents, and young adults thrive. Whether you’re navigating big feelings, life transitions, or just need a safe space to talk, I’m here to support your growth every step of the way. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, empowered, and capable of change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is all about getting to know you. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what brought you to therapy, and what you’d like to get out of our time together. It’s a chance for you to share, ask questions, and start feeling comfortable. No pressure—just a supportive space to begin your journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients appreciate that I bring both structure and flexibility to our work—combining proven methods like CBT and DBT with genuine connection and creativity. I focus on meeting clients where they are, helping them understand their emotions, build practical coping skills, and create lasting change. I celebrate small wins and progress every step of the way.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with children, teens, and young adults who feel overwhelmed by big emotions, anxious thoughts, or tough transitions. Whether they’re struggling in school, at home, or within themselves, I help them build tools to feel more in control, confident, and connected.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In sessions, I tailor CBT interventions to meet each client’s developmental level and needs. For younger children, I often incorporate play-based or creative approaches to teach CBT concepts such as identifying automatic thoughts or practicing positive self-talk. With teens and adults, I use thought records, cognitive restructuring, and behavior activation techniques to challenge unhelpful thinking patterns and encourage positive behavioral change.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I focus on teaching and reinforcing the four core DBT skill areas: • Mindfulness: Helping clients become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and surroundings in the present moment. • Distress Tolerance: Building tools for managing crisis situations and emotional overwhelm without making things worse. • Emotion Regulation: Teaching clients to understand and manage their emotional responses effectively. • Interpersonal Effectiveness: Strengthening communication, assertiveness, and boundary-setting skills.

Psychoeducation

I use psychoeducation to increase awareness, reduce stigma, and empower clients to take an active role in their growth. This can include teaching about diagnoses (like anxiety or depression).

Motivational Interviewing

MI is especially helpful when working with clients who may feel unsure, resistant, or unmotivated to engage in therapy or change certain behaviors. Rather than pushing for change, I use MI techniques to guide conversations that evoke the client’s own values, goals, and reasons for change.
