Welcome! I'm so glad you're here. I'm Amanda Lovin. Compassion, humor, and honesty are key components to my practice as a licensed professional counselor. I have a profound respect for the human spirit and believe that we all have the capacity to experience life meaningfully, with purpose and joy. Effective therapy can provide insight, improved coping skills, and release of deeply held burden. I utilize a holistic approach to treatment (bringing together the mind, body, and spirit) when working with trauma, anxiety, ADHD, and depression symptoms.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

First session really is a collaborative interview. I believe clients should try out therapists until they find the one they can trust and work alongside. We will review your history, identify what is most important/immediate to focus on, and answer any questions. Session one is all about trust building and seeing if I'm the therapist you're looking for.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Clients will tell you I'm present. I believe in creating a safe space for you to include a therapist who is attentive, remembers you session to session (no unnecassary repeating of your story/details), and is focused on getting you closer to your goals.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Clients who feel stuck or stagnant in their personal growth, looking for deeper meaning to their behaviors, or needing relief from symptoms of anxiety/trauma/adhd often find my therapeutic interventions the most effective. I have a history of working alongside clients who are first responders, veterans, healthcare professionals, and educators. My clients often want to explore their spirituality, subconscious impact on behaviors, but most of all, they want to get unstuck and freed from the impact of their symptoms.
