I believe that we are all unique and work with you to identify your goals and discover the source of your challenges. I work hard to create a safe and non-judgemental space where you can openly explore and share what is uniquely going on for you. As your therapist, I strive to support you in facing the issues you would like to address. Reach out and don't hesitate to give me a call if you would like to explore working together!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I am very excited about the development of telehealth and to be able to offer telehealth to my clients. By offering virtual visits, I can help more clients access therapy wherever you are located, whether at home, at work, at school, or even in their car. My clients are often very busy and the virtual visits cut down on travel, time off from work, and the need for child care. They don’t have to be in the same location each week either. Telehealth also lets clients connect with me if I'm a good match even when they don’t live locally. I hope developments in this area continue so that it becomes even easier for clients to travel out of state or out of the country and continue to be seen without disruption to treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I sincerely believe in the good inside of each of us and the value of human life. Life is full of twists, turns and unforeseen circumstances and can be overwhelming, but I do believe in the capacity for all of us to find meaning and fulfillment in it. While we are unique, I believe that we can celebrate our uniqueness and find that I enjoy making connections with others no matter our differences. I always strive to bring awareness, openness, and appreciation to people of all backgrounds.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I love to learn to believe that learning is a lifelong process! I’ve spent the past year increasing my knowledge of dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and becoming a DBT certified (DBT-C) clinician. Whether I am enrolled in a training course, listening to a podcast or audio book, or ordering a new book that a colleague recommended, I’m always looking for new resources to share with clients. I’m also actively engaging with new material and actively learning new skills myself. I consult with colleagues weekly and will advocate on behalf of my clients to gain additional access to resources and areas of expertise.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I believe that there are many approaches to treating anxiety, depression and trauma, and we will work together to identify the strategies that work best for you. I use a non-judgmental and warm approach while combining evidence based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Compassion Focused

I love making connections with people from all different types of backgrounds and am excited to connect with you. I will provide a judgment free space for you to share and an encouraging atmosphere to help you discover the best version of yourself. Throughout my education and career, I have gained significant training in several evidence-based treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and exposure and response prevention. I typically use an eclectic, holistic approach while integrating these treatments as I believe that we are all unique. We will work together to identify which strategies work best for you now and in the future.
