Hello, my name is Eleni O'Brien and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. I have been practicing for over a decade and specialize in OCD and anxiety treatment. I specialize in treating OCD and anxiety disorders and I aim to help clients in accepting, tolerating and navigating their emotions through implementing evidence-based approaches in warm, supportive, and collaborative environment.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session together, we’ll spend time understanding what’s brought you to therapy and how anxiety or other concerns are showing up in your life. We’ll explore what you’ve already tried, what’s felt most challenging, and what you’re hoping will be different. From there, we’ll work collaboratively to clarify your goals, and you’ll leave the session with a clearer sense of direction and next steps for our work together.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is creating a warm, safe, and inviting space where clients feel comfortable being honest and fully themselves. I’m goal-directed and use evidence-based approaches to help clients make meaningful and lasting change. Therapy with me is both supportive and intentional, balancing compassion with practical tools and forward movement. I have extensive experience treating Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Social Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Panic Disorder, and specific phobias. It is truly a privilege to witness clients build skills and confidence through therapy. Anxiety loses its authority, choices expand, and life begins to feel more free, flexible, and self-directed again.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I’m best positioned to work with adults who feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, overthinking, avoidance, or self-criticism; especially those who are high-functioning on the outside but exhausted on the inside. Many of my clients are thoughtful, self-aware, and motivated for change, yet feel frustrated that insight alone hasn’t brought relief. I work well with people who want practical tools and deeper understanding. Clients who are ready to stop fighting their thoughts and feelings and instead learn how to respond to them differently. Therapy with me is especially helpful for those seeking to reduce anxiety, build psychological flexibility, break unhelpful patterns, and create a life guided more by values than fear. *I also enjoy working with fellow therapists and healthcare workers!*
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I am trained in ACT and use this approach as a supplement to CBT and ERP.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have been trained in and using CBT as the foundation for treatment for OCD, anxiety, phobias, panic and related disorders for the duration of my time as a therapist.
