Got Grief? Are you feeling stuck with anxious feelings and thoughts? Life can be challenging to endure and you’re doing your best to manage it all! Thank you for taking this step and especially when it feels like you can barely muster any strength to do so. I’m here to support you. I’m Erika Silva, I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I work virtually with adolescent and young adults experiencing grief and anxiety. I am committed to fostering an empathetic and non-judgmental environment to guide you toward growth and healing. In my work I strive for self-reflection and encourage the exploration of difficult, often avoided emotions. My purpose is to help you examine those emotions and thoughts blocking your recovery. We will work together on how to utilize your strengths, modify distorted thinking, and develop a healthier inner voice. We will also work together to improve your self-care and develop a plan for symptom management. Seeking therapy can be empowering and you deserve to reach your full potential. I look forward to our meeting and journey together, thank you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first meeting, we’ll begin with brief introductions, then I’ll give you the opportunity to tell your story, bringing you to therapy. This will inform me on how to best support you. We will start the process of collaborating on goals that feel right for you and identify areas of focus for future sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with adolescents and young adults for eight years plus, I understand the needs and stressors that emerge during this pivotal time. I know how create a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their emotions, gain insight, and develop the necessary coping skills to heal and recover.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

For the past eight years I have used Cognitive Behavior therapy as a valuable approach to help clients identify and modify unhealthy thinking patterns. We’ll work together to get to the root of your distress, learn strategies to challenge and change your inner critic, and to furthermore, develop healthier coping skills for managing and reducing symptoms.
