Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and have been in the field for 4 years. I graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2020, with a M.A. in Forensic Psychology, and received my counseling license not long after graduating. My experience includes: working with high school aged students battling emotional and behavioral concerns, conducting clinical interviews, and helping individuals of all ages and backgrounds dealing with anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. My goal is to help my clients see that they can dominate their worries and fears, while letting go of what they cannot control. As a clinician, I tailor my style to what suits the client the best. While I usually operate from a CBT approach, I also incorporate talk therapy, and approaches designed to highlight an individual’s strengths to empower them. Additionally, I have also been in a position that involves training and teaching other professionals on how to diagnosis and ways to approach different topics with clients. Teaching is something I not only love to do with other professionals, but my clients as well!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is similar to a "getting to know you," where we will talk about what is bringing you into therapy, your interests and strengths and discuss what you would like to get out of therapy. Don't worry, the first session does not just have to be about you, I also like to share some information about my background so you can get to know who you will be spending time with as well.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider who has been in the field for 4 years, one of my strengths is the knowledge to know when to push and when to not. I will never push you past where you want to go. My other great strength is my desire to learn- I am always open to learning more, especially if it will benefit my clients; I also know that you are the expert in your life and look to learn from you as much as you learn from me. Lastly, I love to celebrate all progress. It is not easy starting a therapeutic journey, so I will be there to give you gentle reminders of how far you have come whenever you need it.
