Hello, I’m Wanda Earl, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in California with over 15 years of experience providing mental health services to adolescents, adults, and families primarily with diverse backgrounds. As passionate as I am about helping people, I’m even more compelled to help people help themselves. I believe in providing a safe space that encourages unfiltered communication and self-reflection, both of which I believe are vital for one to heal and foster growth. I acknowledge that life is precious but at times hard and a professional’s assistance with helping navigate through those challenges may be needed. Just like a scale, life has its ups and downs, and only the sturdiness of the scale (the scale being the individual) can determine its ability to carry the weight that is placed on it. If you feel that I can potentially be of service, please check my availability.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session the client can expect a welcoming and safe environment designed to foster trust and open communication. Both myself and the client will introduce ourselves, which helps in establishing a connection and identify if I’m an appropriate fit for their therapeutic needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked as a therapist for approximate 10 years, I've developed a level of security within my approach to treatment that has allowed me to maintain my authenticity while displaying a working knowledge of client treatment that promotes feeling supported and hopefulness about the therapeutic process.

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

I believe that our behavior and how we handle relational situations often stems from our upbringing. Understanding past experiences and analyzing how they influence our current emotions and behavior through open and honest exploration, in a space that you’ve determined to be safe, promotes healing.
