LCSW, 40 years of experience
New to Grow
I am a licensed psychotherapist with 40 years of experience providing individual counseling for adults. My approach is focused on creating a safe, supportive space where clients can explore life’s challenges, gain insight, and move toward meaningful change. Using various therapeutic modalities, I am able to adapt to each person's unique needs in order to help the client develop effective coping strategies and empower personal growth.
Trust and meaningful rapport are integral for successful therapy. During my initial session, I begin the process of creating an environment of trust, where the client will feel comfortable sharing their personal concerns, issues and meaningful life experiences. Any questions regarding the therapeutic process are welcome. We will also begin identification of personal goals and values which will lead the client's journey toward self awareness, effective coping skill development and personal empowerment.
As a clinician, I bring a depth of experience, combined with a genuine compassionate presence. My approach is grounded in trust, creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard and respected. I draw from a variety of evidence-based methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Therapy and Mndfulness-Based practices, tailoring treatment to meet each person’s unique needs.
Whether you are struggling with constant worry, self-doubt, interpersonal relationship issues or a desire for deeper personal growth, I will provide you with an environment of compassion, honesty, and respect. Together, we will work to understand what is holding you back and help you develop the skills and insight needed to create positive change, and to live a life aligned with your personal values and goals.
In collaboration with the client, we work together to identify cognitive distortions or irrational patterns of thinking, while learning the skills to challenge and reframe these unhelpful thoughts into positive coping strategies.
Along with CBT, ACT is used to help the client identify their personal values and goals. This method facilitates the development of psychological flexibility, helping the client to live their life aligned with these values and goals.
Mindfulness therapy helps the client focus on developing present-moment awareness and non-judgmental acceptance of their thoughts, feelings and sensations.
By increasing self-awareness through a focus on emotions, past experiences, and interpersonal relationships, we work together to gain insight into unresolved conflicts and patterns that cause distress, ultimately leading to lasting personal growth and symptom relief.
