I am interested in your life story so far, how it unfolded, and how it impacts you today. Hi. My name is Anna Rose Derewicz and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I hold an advanced Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Scranton in PA. I see each person as having their unique life story of childhood experiences, family dynamics, relationships, pivotal moments in life and unique experiences that shape what they are experiencing in the present. Unresolved feelings and emotions from various levels of trauma, unmet needs, betrayals, and a multitude of unresolved conflicts can leave a person overwhelmed and feeling stuck. As a trained counselor in trauma and anxiety and as someone who has experienced a personal medical trauma, I understand how various types of traumatic events and/or circumstances can affect every aspect of your life. A few of the issues that sometimes present in therapy are: Guilt and shame, chaotic childhood, codependency, dysfunctional family systems, boundary issues, resiliency issues, low self worth, neglect and abuse, the imposture syndrome and more. My experience as a school counselor, educator, and community counselor has given me insight into the multitude of factors that can impact a person and the trajectory of their life. I am passionate about forming a collaborative partnership with each client to help them untangle the issues, process their emotions in a healthy way, gain productive insight and transform his/her life. I have over 20 years’ experience as a counselor and educator. My specialties include trauma, family dynamics/issues, relational issues, parenting, single parenting, divorce, and career change.
