I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Connecticut but also licensed in New York and Maryland. I have over 20 years of experience providing social work services. I have extensive experience working in different settings such as hospitals, inpatient psychiatric facilities, outpatient mental health clinics, in people’s homes and virtually. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Roger Williams University in Rhode Island and my master's degrees from Boston University. I provide a safe place to explore causes of anxiety, depression and current stressors.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. I will gather important information about your background as well as explore current challenges you're facing. This will be an opportunity for you to ask me any questions you may have. We will discuss a treatment plan where we will come up with goals for our work together. I understand if you are new to therapy this process can be anxiety provoking; however, I am here to walk you through this process and make it as comfortable as possible.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I love the work I do because I get to teach clients strategies to overcome challenges and be the best version of themselves and to identify the root cause of their challenges. I am an empathetic and compassionate therapist/person.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with adults who are ready to start the journey of self-care. I am a big advocate of putting the oxygen mask on yourself before you put it on anyone else. II am currently working with adults with anxiety, depression, am so fortunate that I can help you through this process.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have helped dozens of clients by using CBT. We will work together to identify and challenge negative thought patterns and replace them with more positive and realistic ones. This process will help you develop healthier coping mechanisms and strategies for managing anxiety/depression etc.

Strength-Based

I am a huge advocate of this modality and I have used this approach during my 23 years as a social worker. By using a strength-based approach we will identify and build upon your strengths rather than solely focusing on weaknesses and problems.
