I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. In 2004, I graduated from the University of Texas at Brownsville with a Master of Education degree in Guidance and Counseling. I have 20+ years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults as a school counselor and licensed professional counselor. My areas of focus are anxiety, depression, grief, trauma and life transitions.

Taking the first step in reaching out can be the beginning of your process. Our first session will begin by getting to know as much as I can about you which includes who you are, what's been challenging, and why you are seeking help now. The strategies we come up with are geared towards optimizing all aspects of your well-being. Your sessions will give you a safe, non-judgmental and supportive environment to allow you to share your thoughts, emotions and areas of concerns. Together as a team, we can create the steps to set goals and implement strategies.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe my strengths as a therapist are that I can provide you a supportive, listening and empathic environment. Building client rapport and learning more about my client's needs and concerns, help to assess and build interventions at the client's pace. I believe in creating an atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable enough to speak openly about difficult topics. Your well-being is an essential factor to help you balance your personal and professional life. Therapy will provide you a support system during challenging times, loss and hardship.
