Allow me to introduce myself my name is Kevin and I’m a licensed professional counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. I graduated in 2006 from Cairn University with MS in Counseling. I have been providing therapy for almost 18 years and I specialize in trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and many other common presenting issues. I use a variety of approaches to therapy and do not usually stick with one model. I cater my approach to what the client needs.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session together we will start with brief introductions which is then followed by identifying the kind of help that you are seeking and we will come up with some goals and objectives for our time together so we know what it would look like to make progress and find psychological relief.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Over the past 17 years it has become evident in my relationship with my clients that my ability to connect with people on an individual level has been a great strength and asset for me. Helped our therapeutic process and has helped to create a safe environment for clients to find what resources they have.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used CBT ever since I started practicing in 2006. I find it helpful to guide clients to change thought patterns to help them better adjust and feel better and to make better choices.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I have been practicing ACT for the past few years, and I especially like the focus around becoming more psychologically flexible.

Christian Counseling

I have been trained in Christian Counseling from the university I have attended. I have been a Christ-follower almost my entire life and bring that experience as well to the counseling experience.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have learned DBT over the past few year and like the skills based focus where it helps clients to learn mindfulness and other skills to adapt to circumstance and move forward positively and effective in all areas of life.

EMDR

I am recently trained in EMDR and I am fascinated with the success rate of desensitizing clients to past trauma, anxieties and other triggers.
