Hello, I'm Nicole. Are you struggling to balance the many different areas in your life? Do you feel overwhelmed and discouraged? Are hardships having a negative impact on your life and wellbeing? I help adults manage everyday stressors, life struggles, and increasing mental health symptoms. Together we can identify, process, and problem solve in order to get you back to a balanced, healthy life. We will use solution focused and client centered approaches to individualize treatment to your specific needs. Whether it be relationship issues, self-doubt, overwhelming stress, or increasing mental health symptoms that you're struggling to manage, I am here to help. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session, we will explore what brings you to therapy and identify goals. As we continue throughout the therapeutic process, we will work together to process life struggles, identify strengths and areas in need of improvement. Explore and gain knowledge through psychoeducation. Using a client centered approach, we will identify your individual needs and reflect on your unique past experiences that may still be having an impact on your current life. We will use solution focused therapy to address issues and create a treatment plan to help you improve and reach your goals.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

Some treatment methods and tools I like to utilize include psychodynamic therapy to allow you to talk about anything on your mind to uncover patterns in thoughts and behaviors. Cognitive Behavioral therapy to address problematic thoughts and behaviors that can cause distress. Dialectical behavioral therapy to prioritize acceptance and emotional regulation, developing skills to cope with challenging situations. Psychoeducation to learn and develop skills and knowledge about mental health. As well as mindfulness skills.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Over the years I have worked with many adults struggling with a wide range of life stressors and mental health symptoms. I have experience in crisis intervention, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, negative self-image, low self-worth, and relationship struggles. I have extra education in trauma and specifically first responder counseling training.
