My name is Kelly Demory Guevara and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) from Brownsville, TX. I have experience working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. I enjoy helping my clients face and overcome anxiety, depression, trauma, and challenging adjustments in their lives, while making positive changes to help them reach their goals and achieve personal growth.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

After each session, you will have the opportunity for reflection, growth, and with action steps to make towards your goals. What we work on in therapy does not stop once our session is over, but is something you will take with you and implement on a daily basis to begin to see life changes.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

During sessions, I will use cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and other evidence-based approaches. Every treatment plan and approach is individualized for each client. However, all of my clients can expect to have an opportunity to share their experiences in a welcoming, warm, environment that is safe, full of empathy, and a place with opportunity for empowerment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I enjoy helping my clients reach their goals through empowerment, behavioral interventions, and self-awareness. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety and depression, but have worked with a wide variety of people experiencing different symptoms and diagnosis. One of my strengths is creating individualized treatment plans and goals that will help each individual client reach success and fulfillment.
