Hi, I would like to start with a personal quote I came up with working in addiction treatment for many years. "Fate is for people who fail to take action. Destiny is for people who refuse to accept their failures as fate." Me Simply put, I would be honored and privileged to be a part of your healing journey. I consider myself to be a therapist who is qualified both because of education and utilization of evidence based treatments; and the experiential learning and continued growth of my own life path. I would love to meet you exactly where you are on your current journey and help empower you to move forward. "Unity consciousness is a state of enlightenment where we pierce the mask of illusion which creates separation and fragmentation. Behind the appearance of separation is one unified field of wholeness. Here the seer and the scenery are one." Deepak Chopra

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is the history taking session where I get as much history and info as possible. It should also be a time to see if a therapist is a good fit for a client. The client should be able to ask questions and determine whether the therapist feels like someone they could work with.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths as a therapist come from combining education and training with a lot of valuable life experience. I often work best with clients who feel misunderstood, have multiple diagnoses, have complex trauma, are part of the LGBTQ+ community, and younger people struggling with ADHD, or ASD.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Helping clients gain insight into the old thought patterns and defense mechanisms that are outdated and no longer serving them as they continue growing forward.

Compassion Focused

A practitioner cannot expect a client to comfortably express their deepest selves unless they feel deeply seen, heard, and never judged.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

removing the mystique from mindfulness-based activities that engage the CNS and illicit cooperation from the body in stress reduction.

Eclectic

I believe my early life experiences, childhood trauma, addiction, and experiential struggles with life and death have shaped me into a better clinician.

Humanistic

Meeting a client where they are currently, is a huge part of my belief system. Understanding my clients and where they are in their lives and inner-growth process is paramount to helping them help themselves grow forward.
