PMHNP, 10 years of experience
My passion is helping my clients achieve their optimum level of health and wellness! Hi my name is Stephanie I a a board certified psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner with 10+years' experience in psychiatry. I work with various populations and has worked in a variety of levels of care, including outpatient clinic, partial hospital program, dual diagnosis treatment, adult memory care, assisted living and inpatient units
Our session is a confidential space where you can speak openly. You're not expected to have all the answers — we're here to figure things out together, at your pace. You won’t be judged or labeled. My goal is to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and better understand what you're experiencing. If you're already taking medication, we'll review how it’s working and any side effects. If you’re not on medication, we’ll discuss whether it might be helpful and if not, what other options might work better for you.
My strengths include working with vulnerable populations, those with severe and persistent mental illness, psychotic disorders, dually diagnosed patients, and individuals affected by traumatic experiences
Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward , even when they’re doing their best to cope. Some have tried therapy or medication before, while others are just starting their mental health journey.
Psychoeducation is an important early step in the treatment of mental health disorders. The understanding and normalization of your disorder will allow clients to better recognize their own symptoms, and understand the rationale behind common treatments

Stephanie seems like a knowledgeable provider who offered new ideas for my treatment, but she didn't follow through on anything. She recommended a new treatment with significant out of pocket expenses, told me she would look into getting me a trial card or other cost saving options and never followed up. I set up an appointment a month later to try and figure out what happened and she no-showed the appointment.

She’s okay at first but won’t up my meds, instead tells me to take it twice a day and won’t listen to what my therapist thinks I need. She won’t try anything and just prescribes me 4 different meds
