My name is Jess Parker and clients come to me to work on a myriad of different struggles. Before we even meet, we ask that we have all of your documentation and insurance information, so we can make sure you are provided with the best service possible. Whether it's anxiety, depression, life changes, trauma, disputes, ADHD or marital issues. Most have struggled along for a while, supporting those around them and neglecting themselves. My goal as a therapist is to help you, the client, achieve your goals. We start out by getting to know each other, then we create the goals we will be working on. Together we begin to address issues past and present and develop strategies and coping skills to help you move forward.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The process starts before we even meet, with you completing several forms that ensure we can work with your insurance, understand what is happening, and tailor your treatment to the highest standard. Our intake session together allows you to ask any questions you may have and provides you with your first chance to make sure that we are going to be a good fit. You'll get to talk about what's happening at this time, and will be asked about your past experiences. At the end of the intake, you will be asked what you'd like to achieve with therapy. If you decide that we are a good fit, moving forward a typical session would start with your assessment of your past week, identifying any challenges and/or wins. The rest of the session is spent working on goals established in your treatment plan and can involve psycho-education, strategies, mindfulness, role play, interactive feedback, challenging, review, or any number of other-directed exercises or explorations.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Building rapport, helping clients feels comfortable, providing strategies and empowering my clients.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I approach each client where they are at, letting them take the lead in their exploration and building a strong rapport so trust is established. This enables my clients to feel comfortable enough for me to assist them when it comes to exploring the root causes of their struggles.
