As a clinical social worker I've had the opportunity to work with folks who are in all stages of life. I have experience working with individuals facing struggles with: depression, anxiety, family and interpersonal conflict, grief, life transitions, self-esteem issues, and enhancing self-awareness. I prefer to provide one-on-one therapy rather than couples' work, and enjoy working with adolescents and adults of all ages. My current work leans upon on the theoretical frameworks of: cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, mindfulness-based, DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), client-centered, and solution focused therapies. I can assist you to develop healthy coping strategies through self-evaluation, skill building, self- acceptance and healing from abuse. Achieving a healthier approach to the way you think, make decisions, and relate to others can help clear a way to the path you want to take!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I hope to provide support that is tailored to your unique needs, and my goal is always to create a space for clients that is safe and free of judgment. The process of emotional growth requires being comfortable with a therapist who can help you identify lifelong habits or ways of thought that may be problematic for you. As you settle in to the therapeutic process, my hope is that you feel ready for honest, introspective conversation. I will also share that I have experience helping individuals who come from a myriad of different cultural backgrounds and I welcome you, whether you identify with a specific race, type of disability, religion, or culture that makes you distinct!

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

The support I provide utilizes various theoretical frameworks including: cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic, client-centered, mindfulness-based, and solution focused therapies.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I'd like to help you pinpoint problem areas in patterns of behavior through a process of self reflection. Having better control over your mood can feel like an impossible feat, but you have the ability to develop healthy coping strategies- through self-evaluation, skill building, and receiving acceptance and healing. Achieving a healthier approach to the way you think, make decisions, and relate to others can help clear a way to the path you want to take! Whether you seek healing from some form of abuse or trauma or you're feeling stuck in an unhealthy pattern in your life, I can assist you in "getting out of your own way" and working to gain greater joy and success in life.
