Hello I am glad you are on your path to healing and creating your best life ! I am here to partner with you to navigate life’s ups and downs . I believe in building authentic relationships and creating a safe nonjudgmental space. I have a doctorate in leadership. I am a LCSW . I am a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. Areas I specializes in are loss of a loved one, trauma , suicide loss, (loss of a loved one due to suicide ) pet loss, relationship/dating issues , learning disabilities , obesity ,life changes , and school /work/ life balance . I am here to help you put joy back into your life ! My door so open to anyone. I am a strong supporter of the LGBTQI community.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I offer a free 15 minute phone consult to discuss anything you may have concerns about and answers questions you have about the therapy process. I know asking for help can be hard and is often scary . Feeling uncertain is normal. Please sign up for a consultation prior to booking a full session. During our first session we will talk about what brought you to see me, what you want to get out of therapy, and how I can best support you . Together we will create a plan that will help you on your healing journey. This is a partnership where we work as a team to find the best healthy solutions :-).

I am kind , authentic and compassionate. I have been helping people restore and navigate their life for over thirty years. I understand that sharing your story can be scary . I will hold space for you allowing you to share what feels comfortable at your own pace . I have lived experience with many of the areas I specialize allowing me to help you not only clinically but in a practical heartfelt environment.

My treatment methods

Grief Therapy

I focus on grief work and how to begin to heal from the pain losing a loved one . I do a lot of work with suicide survivors (those who lost someone to suicide ). I also work with people who have lost a loved one and are having a hard time navigating life without them . Additionally, I work with those who have lost a pet I understand that parts are in integral part of people’s lives and family

Trauma Informed Care

Most of my work is with trauma , such abuse , loss , suicide survivors , sexual abuse victims, sudden death , loss of a pet. I work with adults, young adults and teenagers who are trying to process current or past trauma .

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I was trained at Duke in health and wellness . I focus a lot on mind body , mindfulness , guided meditation , and self love and authenticity with self and others .

Psychological Testing And Evaluation

My doctorate work was on learning disabled adults and their experiences. I focused on what makes them feel successful and achieve success they want in their life . From this work I have been able to support my clients who have learning disabilities in ways many others cannot . Together , we will plan a roadmap for how to live your best life ! I can help you achieve your goals in the areas of life you want to excel . In additions, I work with individuals /families as an advocate ensuring that test are interpreted correctly. I attend school meetings as a child advocate to ensure your students rights are being upheld .

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I work with clients to create effective smart goals. I facilitate helping clients find solutions to problems in a quick effective manner . This allows clients to help restore balance and joy to their life !
