I am a psychotherapist and life coach with over 25 years of experience practicing in the Washington, DC, area. I specialize in human potential, relationship health, life transitions, and coping with stressful situations. I have trained extensively with professional and master coaches and I work with a diverse clientele that include young professionals at the beginning of their careers as well as executives and corporate leaders in the financial industry. I believe that clarity enables us to take a stand for what we want in life. It allows us to make a commitment to take action to create a meaningful and purposeful life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

After initial introductions, we will spend some time talking about values, goals, and desired outcomes. We will then talk about current obstacles and challenges and formulate a plan to work together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I bring a non-judgmental and compassionate approach to my client work.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Using my experience in life-coaching, I work collaboratively with clients to achieve their life goals, focusing on overcoming obstacles /difficult life situations and pursuing activities that bring happiness and fulfillment.

Compassion Focused

By embracing a compassion-focused approach, I work from a place of non-judgement to allow my clients space to heal from past trauma and embrace choices that are aligned with their life journey and essence.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use this approach with clients who have struggled with past trauma and self-destructive patterns of behavior. Clients are taught the use of mindfulness and emotional regulation techniques to cope with stressful situations and triggering events.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use this approach to help clients overcome anxiety and depression, by focusing on the present and teaching a mind -body approach to deal with negative energy and thoughts.

Positive Psychology

This is an approach that I incorporate into my practice to help clients focus on self-care and enhance their well- being. By embracing a practice of gratitude and developing healthy relationships with supportive and caring individuals, clients will improve their self-efficacy and develop a more fulfilling life.
