Hello. I am an LMHC in Florida. I provide individual counseling for adults looking to discover what is holding them back. Everyone deserves to feel secure in themselves and their relationships. Many things can get in the way of a satisfying life. Difficult situations, past trauma, problems relating to others might be what you're looking for help with. Feelings of anxiety, conflictual relationships, self sabotaging patterns, feeling overwhelmed with stress, being your own worst critic? I listen compassionately to help my clients gain understanding and find answers.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I am most interested in knowing my clients and how they experience the world. My clients can expect me to listen deeply and validate what they have been going through. I believe the therapeutic relationship is very important. My clients can expect for me to talk with them about our relationship and how the first meeting is going for them. Together we will identify what it will look like when things get better for them.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked with a variety of clients over the two decades I have been practicing. Over the years my clients have expressed that they appreciate my honest reflections and how present I am in our counseling sessions. They express gratitude that I truly care about them and they give me feedback that I provide a safe and non-judgmental place for them to process.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have many years of experience helping clients identify and change unhelpful patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. In counseling sessions with me, clients gain insight about what causes them to struggle. With compassion I support them in gaining new perspectives and feeling better about themselves. This approach is helpful for many disorders, including depression and anxiety. It can also be helpful in improving relationship satisfaction and getting the most out of life.

EMDR

I have been trained and certified in EMDR for many years. I approach trauma from this lens and find the use of bilateral stimulation helpful in processing various types of trauma.
