I am a fully Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Washington State, and Independently Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Ohio. I provide therapy to individuals via telehealth. I received my Master of Arts in Psychology, Child, Couple, and Family Therapy at Antioch University in 2015. I have been providing individual and family therapy since 2013. I work with individuals who seek to repair relationships, heal from low self-esteem, improve communication skills, recover from burnout and compassion fatigue, career stress, life transitions, parenting concerns, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, autism spectrum, ADHD, and traumatic stress.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session should be relatively relaxed, we go over therapy basics and mandated reporting. We may go over what your history of therapy has been if you have had one. We will discuss what brings you here, a bit of my theory and orientation, and go with the flow of conversation. Getting to know one another takes time, so there is no rush on anything specific. You do not have to answer anything I ask as well, as it's about getting to know one another and developing a trusting and safe atmosphere. I look forward to meeting you. We will discuss your diagnosis and review your basic therapy goals. Over time your goals may change, my goal is to stay in step with what your goals are and help you break them down into smaller, achievable goals. I fully believe everyone has the answers to their life questions within themselves, and my job is simply to facilitate inner healing, connection, and growth. I am passionate about providing therapy with compassion.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I find that I tend to help people feel validated, set and meet goals, feel more confident and more aligned with the life they want to live. I value a stable connection first and foremost, healing can more easily occur when we feel seen, heard, and understood.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

I draw from evidence-based, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Family Systems Theory. I work with the client each step of the way to identify which methods work well with them and pivot as needed. I provide creative and active therapy, you won’t just be taught skills you will be walked through them in session, and that includes but is not limited to breathwork, grounding, mindfulness skills, and assertive communication skills. The client is expected to follow up with these skills in practice at home, alongside possible homework material for best results.
