For example, when working with clients experiencing emotional dysregulation, I may incorporate DBT skills to enhance their coping mechanisms while simultaneously utilizing CBT techniques to challenge negative thought patterns. In cases where clients struggle with motivation, such as in addiction or lifestyle changes, I employ motivational interviewing to empower them and facilitate constructive dialogue about their goals. Additionally, I prioritize interpersonal dynamics and social context in my therapy sessions, applying Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) principles to address relationship issues that may impact mental health.
