Hi, I’m Clarrissa Hazel, a Caribbean born and raised preacher's kid. I am a Master’s Level, Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida. I work with individuals dealing with addictions; individuals going through life transitions and personal growth; and couples who want to strengthen their relationships. My passion is to help individuals and families identify their strengths and simplify any complexities that life may throw their way.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, you get to share why you decided to participate in therapy in this season of your life. We explore together what is the best way for us to collaborate as I walk alongside you on your journey toward the goals you would like to accomplish.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

If this is your first time or you have participated in therapy before, look forward to a welcoming atmosphere that radiates positive energy as we explore what brings you to therapy and we build on the strengths and solutions you have hidden away. Therapy with me incorporates a solution focused frame of thinking and is strength based.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

We work together to build on the strengths that you already have and explore to find the strengths that you haven't realized you posses.

Christian Counseling

I work alongside clients who identify as Christian and have cultivated their lifestyle based upon their belief system.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I explore with clients how their thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and actions are interconnected, and how negative thoughts and feelings can trap you in a negative cycle. Using CBT aims to help you deal with overwhelming problems in a more positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT helps individuals who feel emotions intensely and incorporates mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
