Hi Im Deena thank you for taking the time to read this. In a nutshell I believe everyone deserves a witness to their struggles. No matter what that struggle is, we will work through it together. This is a collaboration; we work together for you. This may mean doing things out of your comfort zone, such as homework between sessions. Everyone is different, finding out what works, doesnt work for you is important.
Hi, thanks for taking this chance, it can be a very hard step to take. The first session will be reviewing your intake form, developing a treatment plan. I may have to ask tough or uncomfortable questions, however I work very hard to get just the information I need. I will give you an overview of Grow, how to schedule appointments, try to answer your questions.
My biggest strength is compassion and caring. Ive also found Im able to be straight with people in a caring and loving way.
Im supposed to identify my dream client in this section....kind of a loaded thing to do dont you think? May sound goofy but my answer is you...you are my dream client...you are willing to take a risk, trusting someone youve never met, suspending your disbelief in order to make your life, your community and the people who care about you better...that takes courage
Our thoughts and beliefs about things play a factor on how we perceive things. Challenging, looking at the origins of these thoughts, feelings can help in changing them.
DBT is two beliefs feelings, opposing and opposite that are true at the same time. Hello stress, anxiety and a number of other things...DBT gives a way to work through these things
