Hi. I have been practicing for almost 15 years since I got my Masters Degree from Arizona State University. I dedicated years to the treat children and young adults for a wide range of presenting issues. Currently, I extended my practice to work with adults. I have worked in multiple mental health settings such as clinics and hospitals. Having such a broad range of experience, I have mastered an array approaches and interventions to help people of all ages to improve the quality of their lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will start the process of getting to know one another and identify what it is you would like to accomplish in counseling. From there we will craft our treatment plan together and get you on your way to your goals. MY treatment style is to meet my clients where they are mentally and emotionally each day. Therefore, the structure the session is very fluid and is therefore open to the needs of my clients as they evolve and change.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I think I have a natural gift to meet my clients where they are and to help them feel a sense of hope. In my experience, once a client feels supported and understood, then the difficult road to progress seems a lot more practicable.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I have been practicing EMDR for 10 years and I use it as a supplement to talk therapy and emotional regulation training. And for those who are open to it, I utilize Walk Therapy, sessions outside in which we walk and talk (weather permitting).

Attachment-based

Understanding how our past relationships impact our current ones is a central aspect of therapy and can help us gain new insights into the roles we play in relationship challenges.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

I have been working with children and young adults for close to 20 years. I utilize a broad range of approaches including art therapy, physical movements, games and talk therapy to help children and their parents to improve their quality of life.

Mind-body approach

Very often the symptoms we experience are engrained in our bodies, not just our minds and thus we must seek the solutions through mind-body interventions.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

The skills we develop through the practice of mindfulness are indispensable for the difficult work that is resulting our minds. Change only comes after awareness and acceptance and these are learned through mindfulness.
