Hello and Welcome! My name is Jolene. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in Southern California. I have over 15 years of experience working alongside individuals and families, offering support and guidance through some of life's challenges and transitions. In my practice, I support clients navigating moments of uncertainty, confusion, and transition. I practice from a holistic, goal-oriented, self-compassionate, and social justice approach. I am excited to begin our journey together.
During our first session, we will start with introductions and initial questions you may have, as well as discuss the reasons and challenges that led us to connect. We will review intake documentation and processes. We will also ensure that we have a good connection, to be able to support you and your goals. We will then discuss our plan to collaborate and move forward together, including setting our future appointments.
I strive to offer a comfortable, genuine, and supportive atmosphere, as well as a personalized approach to therapy. My therapeutic approach is ultimately anchored in compassion, hope, respect, and commitment for individuals to realize their specific goals.
I deeply appreciate the opportunity to support clients who are in the midst of life transitions and who are navigating a wide array of personal decisions and challenges. My goal is to help and support clients achieve their goals and gain insight, continue on their journey toward personal empowerment, while experiencing a shift in perspective.
I offer a personalized, electric, and strength-based treatment approach, tailored to each client's needs. I often combine talk therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness techniques to support clients to meet their goals. I also draw from feminist and gender-affirming practices, as well as solution focused therapies, throughout my work.
I have used CBT to help client's examine their thoughts and how cognitions play into everyday situations. Our thoughts play a big part in emotions. I will support clients with techniques and ways to identify, stop, and re-identify negative thoughts, to help reimagine patterns that are no longer helpful.
I often combine talk therapy with body awareness and mindfulness-based therapy approaches, to connect and help with healing.
