Hello, my name is De Anna Dove. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the greater Los Angeles area. I’ve been practicing in this field for 3+ years, specializing in working with clients who struggle with anxiety, PTSD, depression, and trauma. First, congratulations on taking the first step on the journey towards a better you. There are times when we feel a loss of peace and uncertainty due to life circumstances like losing a loved one, experiencing trauma, feeling overwhelmed, family problems, and more. Not addressing trauma or stressors can lead to diminished mental health, which may lead to poor health and a poor quality of life. I am an empathetic therapist with a passion to create a safe space where clients can be heard and seen. I have a passion for helping others find healing and growth in their lives and in their relationships with others.
Let's get acquainted! Like any relationship, we will need to get to know one another. During the first session, I will tell you about myself and explain how the therapy process works, discuss confidentiality, and the importance of creating a safe space where you can share openly. This conversation is meant to build rapport and trust, laying the groundwork for a strong therapeutic relationship.
I have experience in leading clients to self-empowerment and awareness to overcome challenges in their lives. Whether you're battling depression, struggling with anxiety, or grappling with uncertainty about your life's direction, I offer specialized support with interventions such as EMDR, CBT, solution-focused brief therapy, and narrative therapy to help you find clarity and to create a path that aligns with your true potential. Experience a tailored path to transformation with strength-based, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive care.
Together, we can work hand in hand by navigating through challenging emotions, self-discovery, fostering healing, and empowerment through a strength-based, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive path that is tailored to create a life that truly resonates with your authentic self! Let's establish a connection to see if we're a good fit for your journey towards healing.

I received extensive training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. EMDR is a form of psychotherapy that is designed to alleviate the distress associated with traumatic memories. EMDR helps people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences.
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients gain a better understanding of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, guiding them in identifying and challenging limiting and irrational beliefs that contribute to distress.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) aims to provide relief from distress by empowering clients to build a vision for their desired future and to develop concrete steps to achieve it. SFBT helps clients to develop tools and skills, based on identifying their current strengths, that they can use moving forward. These tools and skills may help them change harmful behaviors, achieve their life goals, and manage difficult situations.
I utilize Motivational Interviewing (MI) to identify motivating factors that will encourage change. I will support, empower, provide empathy, and acknowledge the challenges that come with the change.
The pursuit of Narrative therapy is to empower individuals to become the experts in their own lives and to live in a way that reflects their goals and values. In contrast to certain approaches that diagnose behaviors as abnormal, narrative therapists consider problems as distinct from individuals, empowering them to distance themselves and reconstruct their lives with a feeling of control and optimism.

De Anna makes me feel seen. That is very powerful for an individual struggling with trauma and anxiety. I appreciate our sessions and feel hopeful in the resolutions we’re achieving together.

DeAnna is a great listener and I feel comfortable sharing my experiences with her. I have been working through some tough issues with her. She has given me different perspective on some situations that have happened in my life.

What stood out about DeAnna was her attentiveness. I was initially reluctant in speaking to a therapist I was very happy with my session, and looking forward to my upcoming sessions.
