I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of post-graduate experience helping a wide range of people work through their challenges to create a life that has meaning and purpose. I believe the foundation of therapy is the partnership between the therapist and client, I infuse humor and warmth into my care to create a space where people can be their most authentic self.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During your intake, it's important we begin to build rapport that will be the foundation of the therapeutic relationship. We will discuss expectations and goals for therapy and each other and will work collaboratively to identify areas in need of focus and improvement. My commitment to you will be to support your process of exploration and transformation with gentle acceptance and belief.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a licensed therapist I am able to draw on my professional and personal experiences to help people process their experiences and find the relief they're seeking in therapy. My priority is creating a healing space of compassion and understanding to promote positive change and growth.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use a variety of evidenced-based techniques, however, I've found that CBT is an effective first step to understanding how feelings and thoughts affect behaviors; from here people can learn strategies to begin to conquer some of their struggles.

Trauma Informed Care

As a trauma inform therapist I facilitate an empathetic, client-oriented space to prioritize emotional and physical safety to create a safe space where healing can occur. We will talk about self-care, emotional boundaries, and grounding techniques. I will help you understand your coping skills, how you’ve coped with past trauma, and how to develop healthy new strategies. I will support you as you navigate the treatment process at a pace you feel comfortable with, checking in with your progress along the way.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical means "the existence of opposites." As a DBT therapist, we will discuss two seemingly opposite strategies: acceptance, and change. Together, we will aims to help you develop skills you can use in your daily life to effectively manage emotions, maintain or improve interpersonal relationships, tolerate distress, and avoid behaviors that are harmful or detrimental to your quality of life.
