(he/him)
Hi! I'm so happy you're considering taking me along on your journey for a while. I've been providing counseling services for over 15 years now and it's been incredible to witness the change my clients have experienced through the clinical counseling process. I believe we both create and discover meaning through each choice we make, no matter the situation we might find ourselves in. I am excited to work with you!
When you come into your first session, it is my hope that you will feel accepted, just as you are, and ready to have a conversation that could be life changing. It is my heartfelt goal to create a non-judgmental space for you to be your truest, most authentic self. In that same spirit, I will also challenge you to create/discover your authentic self.
My goal is to empower you to have the tools you need to continuously be who you are and to reach the point where you no longer need me. My therapeutic model is humanistic in nature. That means I believe in the ultimate good that is already alive in you. Together, the work we do will empower you to seek and maintain lasting change. You may even be surprised to achieve unexpected insights!
In my practice I have worked with individuals (18 and over) as well as couples, run divorce recovery groups and journeyed with people who have experienced the loss of a loved one or even their pets. I've counseled individuals and couples from the LGBTQ+ community and I am also competent to provide Clergy care. I am a combat Veteran (OIF/OEF) and have served the military population and their families. If you are looking for a counselor that will be present, help you make tough decisions, and support you as you carry heavy emotions... I'm the one you're looking for.

Motivational interviewing (MI) is a client-centered, non-confrontational counseling style designed to help individuals resolve their ambivalence and strengthen their motivation to change their behavior. We will collate and explore your own reasons for change, rather than imposing solutions. MI is particularly useful when a person is experiencing high ambivalence, low confidence, or low desire and importance regarding change.
