My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a clinician I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy as a modality to assist clients in identifying the connections between their thoughts and behaviors. I support my clients in understanding how to shift their thoughts and attitude to befit more effective satisfying behaviors and ways of being.

Narrative

Re-writing your story in an integral part of becoming the bestest and most authentic version of yourself. As a therapist, I like to assist my clients in exploring how narrative therapy can be a powerful tool in helping them develop altered meaning to the life experiences they have had and continue to have to help them recognize how it helps to add strength to their persona. My goal is to challenge unhealthy narratives by assisting clients in discovering their strengths and highlighting their true potential. I strive to assist clients in seeing that they are not the issue; the problem is the issue.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Do you feel that trauma has left you feeling trapped in a desolate place, isolated, disconnected, or even apathetic? Yes, unhealed trauma has a tendency to do that. Causing great feelings of being overwhelmed or even misunderstood by others or by self. Well I am hear to transform you into a better you. Trauma Focused CBT helps the client learn how to modify unhelpful, critical, or distorted thoughts, and to shift maladaptive behaviors and reactions to triggers.
