I have been a practicing clinician since 2010. I work with adults ages 18 and older suffering from depression, anxiety, interpersonal problems/family and relationship problems, life transitions, grief/loss, and trauma. I have been trained in a variety of treatment approaches including; Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, Certified in Managing and Adapting Practices, Harm Reduction, Seeking Safety, Anger Replacement Training, Didactic De-escalation, Feedback Informed Care, LPS designated in Ventura County and EMDR TRAINED. My approach to treatment depends on my patient’s needs and preferences. I am very flexible and can adapt treatment as needed to best support your mental wellness journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

You can expect to feel empowered to take charge of your own life. I am a resource, but you are the driver in this mental wellness journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a warm, caring, empathetic and reliable clinician who will always look out for your best interest. I am very direct and will often make recommendations to help you actively improve your life. I don't just sit back and listen, I am an active participant in therapy because I want to ensure that you get better!

My treatment methods

EMDR

I have found EMDR to be very helpful in working with patients that struggle with a variety of symptoms/diagnoses resulting from negative past experiences that continue to cause them challenges in their everyday life. I evaluate patients to make sure this treatment modality is appropriate for them and we review how things are going for them on a weekly basis to make sure the patients are getting their needs met. In my experience, the more honest the patient is about their progress, the better able I am to make sure I am guiding treatment accordingly. It's a team effort.
