Hello! My name is Jarrett Garland, a licensed professional counselor (LPC). I graduate from Duquesne University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a Master's of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families seeking counseling for over 10 years; online and in my private practice. I have worked within the penal system as a Mental Health Specialist, as well as worked at length as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor with individuals with Substance Abuse Disorder. Now within my private practice, I work with an array of clientele with various mental health disorders, specializing in couples, anxiety, and men's issues.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we will take some time to get to know each other to begin building a client to clinician rapport. We will establish expectations the client has for the clinician, as well as expectations the clinician has for the client. We will also establish goal setting.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I endeavor to meet the client where the client is. I express empathy and encourage clients to establish goals in achieving their greatest sense of self. Lastly, I am here as a support and a guide to achieving their goals.
