Hi! My name is Mutya. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Southern California. With over five years in the field, I've had the privilege of supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds experiencing anxiety, depression, and self-esteem issues. I enjoy working with young adults experiencing significant life transitions such as starting college, entering the workforce, or exploring new relationships. Life transitions can be exciting, but they can also bring a lot of other emotions, such as anxiety, insecurity, and confusion. My goal in treatment is to provide a safe and supportive space where clients can comfortably share their experiences and navigate their challenges with confidence to help them thrive in their professional and personal lives. Collaboration is at the heart of my practice. We'll work together to explore your experiences, identify your goals, and develop strategies to help you thrive. I believe that each individual has unique strengths and perspectives that should be utilized in their journey toward growth and healing. I'd love to help you learn new skills, as well as utilize your strengths, to overcome your challenges and reach your goals.
Our first session together is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore your reasons for seeking therapy. During our initial session, we will start with introductions and an overview of what to expect in therapy. We will then discuss your background and reasons for seeking therapy. We will end the session by collaborating on treatment goals. You can feel free to ask questions at any point during our initial session!
My greatest strength as a therapist is that I approach therapy from a client-centered perspective. I believe that each individual is the expert on their own lives and proceed with treatment with that belief in mind. I always aim to genuinely connect with each individual I work with and approach each client with empathy and understanding.

I utilize CBT interventions when working with individuals experiencing symptoms related to anxiety and depression. When using CBT interventions, I collaborate with my clients in identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns and understanding the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My goal is to empower clients to utilize these skills to overcome challenges, improve relationships, and increase their overall well-being.
In sessions, I utilize a client-centered approach, focusing on support, validation, and empathy. My goal is to provide clients with a safe, non-judgmental space to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
