Hi, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California. I received my license in 2016 and have experience working in inpatient, outpatient, and private practice settings. I use a variety of modalities but primarily use ACT, CBT, and Positive Psychology. I enjoy working with individuals 17 and older, and I strive to have a positive impact on the lives of my clients who are brave and remarkable people.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will start with introductions then explore why you came to therapy and what you are hoping to get out of it. Hopefully, we can collaborate and identify goals and a treatment plan.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am truly humbled that clients confide in me, and I take my role very seriously. I believe that therapy is collaborative, and I try my best to create a safe and non-judgmental space. I love what I do and am also committed to becoming more knowledgeable in my field by attending trainings and staying up to date on the newest developments.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT in conjunction with other modalities to suit the client’s needs. The core concepts are cognitive defusion, acceptance, and awareness of the present moment.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to treat anxiety disorders, OCD, depression, and personality disorders. Furthermore, CBT is the first line of treatment for insomnia (CBT-I). CBT is so valuable, as it teaches us to to detach from our thoughts and evaluate them. I have found CBT to be very effective and successful.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have incorporated some fundamentals of DBT when working with those who may struggle with emotional regulation and impulsivity.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I use ERP when working with those who struggle with OCD, specific phobias, and social anxiety disorder. I have found it to be very effective.

Positive Psychology

Positive Psychology focuses on the client’s strengths. This modality includes interventions and exercises designed to enhance well-being. These exercises include gratitude journals and mindfulness practices.
