Hi! I am a licensed marriage and family therapist based in California. I received an M.S. in Counseling/Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy from the University of Phoenix in 2016. I have 7 years of experience treating a variety of mental health conditions (including anxiety, depression, and post traumatic stress disorder) and assisting clients in navigating major life changes and challenges. I am also EMDR trained.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first meeting, I like to get to know you and your specific symptoms or challenges. Then we can discuss your temperament and tolerance so that I can choose a treatment modality that will fit your needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a warm, empathetic, and supportive therapist whose #1 goal is to get you feeling better. I will support you, challenge you, empower you, and offer information and insight to assist you on your healing journey.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with a variety of clients who are experiencing interruptions in their daily functioning related to depression or anxiety, or are having difficulty navigating life challenges and changes.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I have been EMDR trained for two years. I use it primarily to treat post-traumatic stress disorder, though I use aspects of it in the treatment of a variety of conditions including depression.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use cognitive behavioral therapy techniques and interventions to help manage anxious thoughts.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use dialectical behavioral therapy interventions to help clients manage destructive behaviors and rejection sensitive dysphoria (RSD).

Eclectic

I use aspects of a variety of treatment modalities as best fits the client.

Gender-affirming therapy

I work with clients to affirm their presenting genders and manage gender dysphoria.
