Hi, I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and I work with a range of ages from birth through adulthood. My primary focus online is with adults and couples who are feeling unsatisfied or uncomfortable in their lives and relationships and want to understand why and how to move forward. I also work with children birth to five who are exhibiting challenging behaviors and their teachers and parents to identify what the children are trying to communicate and how to help them.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session I will ask questions about what brings you to therapy and listen to get an understanding of what you would like to work on, what your concerns are and what your strengths are.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am passionate about my clients feeling that I hear them, I see them and I am in their corner to work on whatever it is that they would like to focus on.

My treatment methods

Child Parent Psychotherapy

While not a certified CPP provider I am endorsed in Infant Mental Health with the Florida Association of Infant Mental Health and have over 100 hours of training in the mental health of children from birth to give years of age. I consult with Early Head Start programs and provide services to the childcare centers and the families of these little ones.

Couples Counseling

I have been providing couple's therapy for over 10 years and am training in Gottman. I enjoy working with couples who are seeking to address issues that keep them from connecting and communicating.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I work every day to listen to the voices of people from cultures and countries different from my own to try to understand their experiences. I have been part of several Diversity, Equity and Inclusion groups and reflective practices.

Narrative

I work with clients to rewrite the story of their lives, the story they have been told, the one that does not serve them, into a new story that empowers them.

Family Therapy

I studied Marriage and Family Therapy and I focus on people's relationships and their interactions with others around them while listening and hearing their life experiences and how that has informed where they are today.
