About me

As a multicultural and passionate Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), I provide therapy in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. I strive to be an agent of change in your life—helping you explore, heal, and connect with your most authentic self. My mission is to walk beside you on your journey toward self-awareness, balance, and growth. I have extensive experience that supports my ability to provide effective intervention when working with family dynamics, relationship issues, complex trauma history, personality functioning related problems and other problems in living. I have training in mindfulness, DBT, ACT, TF-CBT, solution focused therapy, psychodynamics and other different modalities.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

My initial therapy session is typically an introductory meeting where the therapist and client get to know each other and begin building rapport. The therapist gathers background information about the client’s concerns, history, and goals, while explaining how therapy works, including confidentiality and session structure. It’s often a time for the client to share what brought them to therapy and for both to decide on the best approach moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I take a holistic and eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from different perspectives to meet each person’s unique needs. I work from a multicultural lens and strive to create a safe, welcoming space where you can openly explore life’s challenges—whether that’s grief, anxiety, obsessive thoughts or behaviors, relationship struggles, depression, anger, sexual concerns, identity questions, or major life transitions. My focus is on building a genuine, trusting connection, because I believe real change happens when you feel truly seen, heard, and supported.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

An ideal therapy client characterized by openness, vulnerability, growth mindset and receptivity to change, however I can support someone that is willing to get to this ideal description, if they are not quite there, but wants to be.

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

A mindfulness-based approach in therapy involves helping clients become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations in the present moment, without judgment. Techniques like meditation, breathing exercises, and mindful observation are used to develop this awareness. This approach is often integrated into therapies such as Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) to reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and stress by promoting acceptance rather than avoidance of difficult experiences.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT helps you learn skills to manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and cope with distress in healthier ways. In our sessions, we’ll focus on four key areas: mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. The goal is to help you build a life that feels more balanced and in control, even when things are difficult.

Relational

In this method, the focus is on the therapeutic relationship itself as a key part of healing. It emphasize genuine connection, mutual respect, and emotional presence, viewing both the client's and therapist's experiences in the therapeutic space as important. This treatment modality will explore how the client’s patterns in relationships show up in the therapy relationship, using this dynamic to increase awareness, foster change, and build healthier relational models.

Eclectic

The eclectic method in therapy involves drawing on techniques and approaches from multiple therapeutic schools (such as cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, humanistic, family system theory, etc.) to tailor treatment to the individual needs of each client. The intent is to prevent a rigid framework, by selecting interventions that best suit the client’s personality, issues, and goals. This flexible, integrative approach allows for a more personalized and adaptive therapeutic experience.
