I am a psychotherapist with 30+ years of extensive in/outpatient therapy experience. The most recent 16 years of experience have been at a Level 1 Trauma Center assisting those dealing with physical, emotional and/or psychological trauma. I am licensed in Texas as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in advanced clinical practice. This encompasses individual, family, couple, group, multi family group and educational group therapies. A cognitive behavioral approach is utilized which focuses on the attainment of client goals. Family therapy uses a family systems approach which recognizes the interactions between family members as being as important as individual behaviors. Specialties include survivorship, grief and loss, transitioning life stages, trauma informed care, depression and anxiety related challenges, motivation, self esteem and confidence development, removing barriers to self growth, and coping skills development. I am a U.S. Navy veteran and work with military and first responders and their significant others. I am a provider and a survivor. I believe the human spirit is stronger than we know until it's put to the test. It takes courage to take steps toward change and seek out a more fulfilling and meaningful life. I am here to offer insight, compassionate support & empowerment on that Journey. Much of my therapeutic approach involves a spiritual component. I believe you are the expert in the experiential portion of your story, but the author is of Divine Deity. You have been given many strengths and answers that will assist you in overcoming the challenges you currently experience. I have learned from my own personal experience that identification and development of one's purpose and sense of meaningfulness does not come without sacrifice, humility, compassion, integrity, endurance, trust and faith. Whether you are struggling with life challenges, trying to reunite and have closer relationships with others, trying to resolve spiritual estrangement, or having difficulty focusing and completing general daily tasks, I am grateful to share the path you travel in search of a meaningful and purpose driven life that has been prepared with uniqueness just for you. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will include a brief introduction, an overview of what you would like to address in therapy and prioritization of issues you wish to target first. We will then review your intake assessment and I will be asking additional information to clarify where indicted. I will give you an opportunity to ask me questions as well. We will develop brief treatment goals that can be expanded or detailed further in subsequent sessions. I am prepared to join you on your journey of self exploration and seeking of contentment as well as motivation to grow and evolve.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a provider and a survivor. I believe the human spirit is stronger than we know until it's put to the test. It takes courage to take steps toward change and seek out a more fulfilling and meaningful life. I am here to offer insight, compassionate support & empowerment on that Journey.
