Are you living life feeling joyful and energized? Depression, low self-esteem, and stress can rob people of joy in their lives. I can work with you, providing support and guidance as you explore steps to overcome obstacles to living a fulfilling and joyful life. I help adults evaluate how their thoughts influence their feelings and behaviors using a cognitive-behavioral approach. I have been a counselor for over 25 years. I have been a clinical director of psychiatric facilities, a college counselor, a private practitioner, and a clinical supervisor of counseling interns. I have a master's degree in education with a concentration in guidance and counseling and a doctoral degree in Ph.D. in psychology. I have experience counseling in areas such as aging, depression, grief, anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, and domestic violence. Goals are personal, and I aim to help people reach their individualized goals. I believe all have strengths upon which they can build to achieve their goals. Please get in touch with me If you would like to work together to put joy back into your life.
In our first session, information will be gathered to tailor a plan to help you achieve your goals.
Over the past 25 plus years, I have had the joy of working with a diverse population across varied settings. Counseling is a personal journey where one can be supported to develop the skills needed to achieve their goals. My experience in various fields such as education, industrial/organizational psychology, business, coaching, and treatment facilities allows for flexibility in individualizing the counseling process.
I love working with people who are desiring to make changes in their life. Whether the changes are to overcome challenges or to increase personal or professional growth, I enjoy working along side clients to help them achieve their goals.
