New to Grow
I am passionate about helping people reclaim their lives from trauma or addiction, heal from eating and body image issues, overcome anxiety or depression, and increase their ability to feel peaceful in their lives again. I partner with clients to help them feel they are capable of living life on their terms and handling stresses of daily life effectively. I focus on helping people develop greater emotional regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness skills.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
With compassion and humor, I will help you to make changes in the way you see yourself, the ways you take care of yourself, and the ways you relate to others. I work with individuals, couples and families using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), EMDR and metabolic interventions.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
As a psychologist, I put particular focus on the health of your brain as well as your psyche. Through the use of adopting metabolic mental health interventions in your daily life, you will likely see greater improvements in your mood, mental clarity and ability to handle stress.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Working with each person is different and I am open to accepting those differences. I am not here to judge, only support and help you learn more about yourself. You tell me your goals and I will help you decide how we can best meet them together.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is my primary therapeutic modality. I have been using this for 29 years to encourage clients to challenge their beliefs and incorporate healthier and more accurate self-statements.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I regularly use DBT for teaching emotional regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness skills.
EMDR
I utilize EMDR techniques to improve processing of traumatic experiences, increase mindfulness and improve cognitive flexibility.
