Hi, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in the state of North Carolina. I received my Masters Degree from Fordham University and have been practicing for 5 years. I see adults over age 18 working together to find the best approach for them and their expectations of therapy. Sharing your story is not always easy to do and I'm here for you as my client as you navigate your feelings and emotions.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session is a start to get to know each other. This will be the time for you to share what brings you to therapy and what you hope to achieve by attending therapy. You will be able to tell me what you have already tried in your life and what you think has helped and what hasn't helped.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Therapy is a choice you're making for yourself because you want something to change in your life. I will work with you to identify what you want to change and how you can make that happen for yourself. I want to challenge you to be honest with yourself and will support you as you navigate this process.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

I use an eclectic approach to treatment which allows me to use parts of several treatment methods. I think this approach lets me fit the treatment to the client.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) encourages you to stay focused on the present moment and accept your thoughts and feelings without judgment.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution Focused Brief Treatment (SFBT) is focused on the future and goal orientated. Instead of focusing on past problems, SFBT invites you to focus on what you see for yourself in the future and how do you think you can get there.
