PMHNP, 3 years of experience
I am a board-certified FNP and PMHNP. I began my nursing career as a RN working in the Burn Intensive Care Unit. I decided to advance my career by receiving a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Florida in 2015. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings, which include interventional pain management, substance abuse, urgent, critical, and primary care.
I am devoted to providing effective, affordable health care to those in need. I use evidence-based practices, and emphasize compassion, education, and listening to motivate and empower patients. It is my goal to treat each patient as an individual, and get to know how each client views mental health care in order to create individualized treatment plans. I strive to customize patient outcomes by implementing a safe, compassionate, empathetic and comforting environment utilizing medication and therapy based care.
I am grateful to have patients who value me as their provider, due to compassion, understanding, and personalization of treatment. I strive tp address the core issues of concerns, rather than solely treating symptoms. I also provide an environment that is welcoming and safe, being sure to build a rapport from the first meeting.
I offer services to clients 16 years of age and older, and this can be through a virtual visit (video based) or in person. We strive to target populations that have insurance, as well as those who are self pay, as mental health should be affordable and accessible to everyone.
I utilize CBT methods to assist with depression and anxiety symptoms.
